Dan Flynn returned to CDK in July 2022 as chief transformation officer. He first joined the company in 2016 and led a multi-year transformation program, which improved EBITDA margin by 1,390 bps and helped accelerate CDK’s transition to a more agile and strategic software-focused company. In 2019, Dan pursued an opportunity as vice president and general manager, Global Rental and Used, Caterpillar.
Before joining CDK, Dan was senior vice president of North America operations for Hertz Rent-a-Car, and led a business unit with more than $6.5 billion in revenue, 23,000 employees, and 500,000 vehicles across 3,000+ locations.
Over the span of his 25-year career, Dan has successfully produced accelerated performance at numerous enterprises resulting in improved financial and operational outcomes. From large, publicly traded companies with activist investors to firms with private equity ownership, he has unique experience across a wide spectrum of organizations and ownership models.
